They're very important to getting your website listed!» This is a directory for J-Music only, so only submit sites related in some way to JAPANESE MUSIC. They can be J-Pop, J-Rock, whatever, but to keep with the directory's theme, English, Korean, and Chinese, etc., music-related sites won't be accepted. » Please only submit websites that belong to you. It's generous to want to promote a website that you like that belongs to someone else, but there is a chance that the other person wouldn't want their website promoted for them, so please: YOUR WEBSITES ONLY. » Pretty much any kind of website is welcome, whether it's a fansite, fanlisting, LJ Community, forum, Yahoo Group, whatever, as long as it's dedicated to some part of Japanese music, I'll accept it. HOWEVER, since there are an abundance of mp3 rotation directories out there, mp3 rotations WILL NOT be accepted. And to be perfectly clear, the CONTENT of the website needs to be related to J-Music, so no blogs, domains, collectives, or what have you, with just layouts featuring Japanese idols will be accepted, either. » Please put a link to Ongaku up before or immediately after joining the directory. It doesn't have to be an image code, it can be a text link or whatever, just as long as there's a link back to Ongaku. This site is meant to promote your websites, but it needs promoting, too! So be kind and link back! » I'll be fair about this: I can't find your code when I approve your link, I'll check back in a day. If I still can't find the link back at that time, I'll email you and remind you to put one up. If you STILL don't put up a code, I'll delete your link. » Please don't submit annoying re-direct links, like cjb.net, .tk, or whatever. I don't care how long your real link is, those sites don't work for everyone, and more pertinently, they don't work for me, and I can't approve your site if I can't see it. Sorry, but re-direct links will be deleted. » If you have more than one site you want to list, use two seperate forms, ok? It's easier to manage that way :) » If you feel your site fits into more than one category (i.e., a fansite & fanlisting), feel free to submit two forms, one for each category. I'm not sure exactly how to crosslist otherwise, and I don't mind doubling an entry if it makes it easier for someone to find what they're looking for :) » For uniformity's sake, when submitting a site, please enter the website's name, not the subject, in the "Site Name" text box, and put the site's subject in the "Site Description" text box. For example: I know it's a weird way to organize things, but it'll help me keep everything orderly. » If you've read the rules and aren't sure whether or not your site will be accepted, go ahead and try - as long as it's related to Japanese music, chances are, it'll be accepted. :) » Finally, if you think there should be another links category here at Ongaku, go ahead and suggest it in the Comments box.
